Rosacea/Acne Rosacea

This is a fairly common skin condition affecting the face causing redness and may be associated with acne-like lesions. The redness is caused by an increased number of blood vessels on the surface of the skin and the colour fluctuates with the opening up and closing of them caused by exposure to daily environmental factors. The cheeks, nose and chin are commonly affected and if left untreated will result in a thickening of the skin and irregular contour in these areas

Treatment options include:

- A personalized skincare regimen including soaps, moisturizers and sunscreen

- Topical therapeutic gels

- Oral medications

- A series of monthly IPL (Intense Pulse Light) treatments

- Vascular laser treatments
