Xanthelasma Treatment

These are growths in the skin around the eye and are caused by excess cholesterol being deposited in the skin. Surgical removal is the recommended treatment option and the downtime for this is 1 week following which the stitches are removed. It is important to keep the blood cholesterol levels under control to prevent recurrence.
